So there are no surprises later.
- iPhone only. Requires iOS 26 or later. No iPad, Mac or Android version.
- No speaker labels. There is no on-device way to tell speakers apart yet.
- No live transcription. Recordings are transcribed after you stop.
- No iCloud sync. Recordings stay on this iPhone (they are included in iPhone backups).
- The app is in Japanese for now. English screens are coming in the next update.

Questions
Is there a limit on transcription?
No. Transcription runs on your iPhone, so it is free no matter how long or how often you record (recording length is limited only by your iPhone's free storage).
Does it need an internet connection?
Transcription works offline. The first time, iOS downloads the speech model from Apple. Ads use the network (not in Pro).
Are my recordings uploaded anywhere?
No. Recordings and text stay on your iPhone and are never sent to us or any other service, unless you choose to share them.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the app and start recording.
It says the recording couldn't be transcribed
Connect to the internet and tap Try Again. The speech model may not have finished downloading. Low storage can also cause this.
The app closed while I was recording
Open it again. Everything up to the last few seconds is kept and transcribed automatically.
How do I transcribe a Voice Memos recording?
In Voice Memos, select the recording, tap Share and choose Rokumemo (a Pro feature; your first import is free).
What does Pro add?
No ads, batch export to TXT and CSV, and unlimited imports from other apps. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Transcription is free and unlimited without Pro.
I bought Pro but it isn't showing
Tap Restore Purchases in Settings. Family Sharing is supported.
Will my recordings move to a new iPhone?
Yes, when you restore from an iPhone backup (such as iCloud Backup).
